Mustang Day, 2024

For automotive enthusiasts, and Ford fans in particular, around the world April 17th is known as Mustang Day.

It was on April 17th, 1964 that Ford unveiled the all new Mustang at the New York World’s Fair, on Ford’s “Wonder Rotunda”.

The launch also featured a massive media blitz, which included a TV ad that was aired in the days leading up to the launch. You can see that original clip here:

Since then, Mustang fans around the world have celebrated Mustang Day on April 17th.

This year is extra special, as it will mark Mustang’s 60th anniversary. Many competitors to the Mustang have come and gone, and come again, and sadly gone again (looking at you Camaro and Challenger..), but Mustang has continued strong and proud for 60 consecutive years of production!

This year, the Ottawa Mustang Club will join Ford employees to celebrate all things Mustang on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024. This celebration event is open to anyone, and we welcome you to join us!!
